Kenny Lyons & Associates are excited to announce that Offaly County Council have decided to grant planning permission for the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Demonstration Park, located at the National Construction Training Centre, Mount Lucas, Daingean, Co. Offaly.The MMC Demonstration Park is an inter-governmental department project which aims to support the Government’s Housing for All Strategy and their commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable homes to meet the housing needs. The strategy sets out ambitious targets to increase the supply of homes, improve the quality of housing, introduce a greater variety of sustainable, energy-efficient construction methods, and make housing more affordable for everyone. LOETB - National Construction Training Campus, Mount Lucas are the Contracting Authority for the project which will see 5 demonstration structures on site as part of its first phase. The site will provide one central location in the country for the training, upskilling, research, demonstration, and promotion of innovative and sustainable methods of construction for the industry. The park aims to inspire the industry to embrace new ways of building that can help to meet these targets, by showcasing the latest technologies and methods in construction.
